Documentation you may need for a Mortgage Loan

Applying for a Mortgage Loan can seem daunting; it doesn’t have to be. To make it easier, here’s a checklist of items we may need during the process:

Visit our Mortgage Center for current rates and online application.

Income Information

  • W-2 forms (last two years)
  • Tax returns (last two years)
  • Pay stubs (last 30 days)
  • Year-to-date income statements (if self-employed)

Fund Sources

  • Most recent bank statements for checking and savings accounts
  • Proof of a gift (if applicable)
  • Latest statements for 401(k), IRAs, CDs
  • Latest statements for all stocks and bonds
  • Rental property information

Credit Obligations

  • Statements for home, car, credit cards and other installment loans
  • Receipts for loans paid off in last 60 days

Other Information

  • Copy of purchase agreement for the home you are buying
  • For condominiums, the name and address of a contact at the Homeowners’ Association
  • For VA applicants, your certificate of eligibility or DD214
