Local, loyal and lending a hand
At First State Bank, we don't just say we support the community we live in - we do it. Throughout the years we have been proud sponsors of organizations, businesses and community groups that work to advance or improve the area like the Macomb Food Program.
We will be collecting non-perishable food donations (please, no glass) for the Macomb Food Program in all branches, Loan Center and the Operations Center from October 21st through November 15th.
About the Macomb Food Program
The mission of the Macomb Food Program is to provide food to hungry people. The food bank provides 55 neighborhood food pantries with emergency food service. Food packages are prepared according to the needs of the family and the contents of the packages vary because most food is donated. The average food package will last five to seven days. The criteria to access the Macomb Food Program requires only that a person be a Macomb County resident and have an emergency need for food. The person in need of emergency food must call United Way information/referral 2-1-1 (or 1-800-552-1183).
