First State Bank Expanding Presence in
Macomb County; Opening Loan Center
(St. Clair Shores, Mich.) April 26,
2011 – First State Bank is furthering its commitment to local small businesses
with the opening of a new loan center in Sterling Heights at 16 Mile and Mound
Road.
The new loan center will provide a
more centralized location for small business customers in both Macomb and
Oakland counties. The bank plans to have a staff of over 20 employees at the
location, including both commercial lenders and mortgage loan originators and
the Business Development staff.
The Center’s opening follows quickly
on the heels of the announcement that First State Bank is now an SBA Preferred
Lender. With the new SBA Preferred Lender status, the bank can now offer a
streamlined paperwork process to small business owners who apply for an SBA
loan.
“First State Bank is pleased to be
expanding its services and local presence in Macomb County,” said Eugene G.
Lovell, CPA, President and CEO. “The local banking community has been battered
in recent years. We are proud to have weathered the storm – neither requiring,
or accepting any assistance under the government’s Troubled Asset Relief
Program (TARP). We are honored that we are able to continue to evolve our
commercial lending services to deliver what our local business customers want
and need.”
First State Bank will continue to
maintain current staff at its headquarters in St. Clair Shores. In addition to
its branch-based lending services, the bank offers mortgage, home equity loan,
and credit card application services online at www.thefsb.com.
